Lonestar Aviation, LLC, traces its roots to Lonestar Aviation, Inc., formed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1994. In 2001, the company moved its operations to Austin, Texas, and reorganized as Lonestar Aviation, LLC.

Throughout its history, Lonestar Aviation has focused on Aircraft Sales, Aircraft Leasing and Aviation Consulting. These activities still comprise the core businesses of the company.

In addition to serving the needs of the small, entrepreneurial companies that make up the bulk of its client base, Lonestar Aviation has, within the last seven years, sold aircraft either directly to, or for the use of the United States Department of State, the United States Department of Defense and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, The Royal New Zealand Air Force, as well as the governments of Mexico and Peru.

Over the years, Lonestar Aviation has sold and delivered aircraft to customers in The United States, Canada. The Bahamas, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Great Britain, India, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia.

Aircraft types sold include, but are not limited to, Cessna Caravans modified for drug interdiction work, various Beech King Air models, Beech 1900 Airliners, (in standard configuration, custom executive configurations and government special mission configuration), a Fokker F-100 airliner, Boeing 737 aircraft, McDonald Douglas MD 83 and MD 87 aircraft, Raytheon Hawker 800 aircraft, as well as various models of aircraft manufactured by Dassault/Falcon, Citation Jet, Gulfstream, Bombardier Canadair, Bombardier Learjet, Bombardier Challenger, Airbus, Sabreliner, and Pilatus.

One of the areas where Lonestar performs very well is in the conversion of aircraft from airliner to corporate configuration. These projects are large and complex and require an intimate knowledge of all aspects of aviation, including engineering, design, aircraft modifications, aircraft certification, aviation regulations and operations.

Lonestar's consulting efforts have involved the creation and organization of flight departments, regulatory compliance, management of aircraft repair, modification and refurbishment, personnel management, aircraft importation and exportation, as well as aircraft acquisition.
